The LiuJiaXia Dam is one of five planned with the help of Soviet advisors in the 1950s. It is one of the biggest hydroelectric power stations in China and was completed in 1974.

LiuJiaxia Dam located on Yungching County of Gansu Province province ,it is 80 kilometers distance from Lanzhou . It is 1km away from on Yungching County of Lingxia .It has function of develop for the yellow river upper stream programming in of the 7 steps of ladder electricity station, and generate electricity, flood control, irrigate, farming, shipping, travel etc. .


Every year it wins domestic and international visitors with the Yellow River Three Gorges , Bingling Lake,Taiji Lake and Maogong lakes, Liu water power station, Yan water power station,Ba water power station, and the Silk Road pearl of Bingling Temple etc.

The quality of Liujiaxia is good, the surface is big, pollution is small;Weather here is good, in the winter have no strict and cold, the summer has no intense heat;The area near to Lijiaxia Dam produce apple, red date, hong zunfish , carp, tomato, strawberry, the yellow river pearl rice that is famouse on abroad and at home.
