BEIJING – Baiyun Temple (Baiyunguan)

Baiyun Temple (baiyun-si) is located east of Fragrant Mountain. It was built in 1289 under the rule of King Zhengde King. The temple is composed of 6 stories high. There are a couple of lion statues carved from the rocks. They were carved during the Ming Age which extends back 700 years. When you enter the door you will see Jinganglishizhan Hall, Tianwang Zhan Hall, Big Hall, Luohantang Hall, Sunzhongshan Memorial Hall and Tayuan Tower.
People burn incense and pray at the Baiyunguan (White Cloud) taoist temple in Beijing, on the first day of the Lunar New Year.
